When i actually understood what goes in inside an engine, I can really respect how long engines really last considering the constant high intensity work they perform for hundreds of thousands of miles. Excellent engineering

Thanks man! 4 strokes were always really easy to understand for me, but I never could wrap my head around how 2 strokes work. This helped a lot

This makes so much sense as to why you have to add oil to the fuel. I always knew that the added oil was to lubricate, but never knew how it did so within the engine.

Love the fact that it was designed in such a way that the sonic wave of each explosion help the next fuel-air mixture return to the combustion chamber.

Great video & explanation. Although, the video misses an important aspect of the 2 stroke motor. The shape of the exhaust is engineered so that it produces ‘back pressure’ after the fresh air&fuel mix enters the combustion chamber. This keeps the air&fuel mix from escaping through the exhaust port, while also pressurizing the air&fuel mixture. Almost acting like a turbocharger, this is what makes 2 strokes so powerful in comparison to four strokes.
