Pati, after 40 years of buying horribly bruised avocados from the grocery store, I have discovered, now that we finally have retired, and live in CDMX, I buy our avocados “bien duros”. When they ripen on the counter, they are a beautiful green inside, without the bruising. Then, if we’re not ready to eat them, they go in the fridge for several days, even a couple of weeks, without discoloring.
