I’m an exmormon. I left around 1980. One of the many reasons I left was because of the teachings of racism. It isn’t a theory. It was taught to us. I can’t believe I still have family members around my age that are still in this cult.

Why should anyone trust now, a church that has to keep disavowing past theories and behavior? What are they doing wrong RIGHT NOW, that they'll have to disavow 50 years from now? Don't waste your time with religion. Find your own way. It's the only way.

Folklore means the tales of the people, when a herichy says something it's not Folklore, it's official high brow culture.

Yes it needs to be taught as folklore and the prophets need to be called leaders, with personal revelation being accentuated. In other words it's between you and God to some extent or you and your own conscience when you are making decisions - everything else is just ideas, thoughts etc that you can take into account. As for the racism the history can never be erased.
