Have you done any video on breathing technique for overcoming isometrics?
For my isometrics, I like to go for 6 second holds at max tension, with 4 seconds rise time (tension increase) - 10 seconds total per rep.
I take a deep breath before the timer starts. The only thing that seems to work is slowly letting the breath out over the 10 seconds of the rep. Is that what you mean by *smooth breathing*?
Taking another breath in the middle of the rep, it feels like my strength dips.
This problem only occurs at max tension reps.
