I was very surprised by the fact that the pope did not give a formal apology till 2023. %00 years is a very long time. To think that our law is still based on such an awful document is terrible.

Simply put, pope (inc) discovered the world so it lays claim to all land. Just where Treaties come from is unclear for they tend to operate as if the pope (inc) doesn't own all the land on this earth.
