Hello! I'm currently listening to/reading the third book in the ACOTAR series. For this series, I have been buying the digital Kindle version and use a credit through Audible for the audiobook. They sync up so each one knows where I left off in the other. This way I can continue to read in bed and not disturb my husband 😅 When I'm listening to an audiobook, I say I'm listening, but I will consider it "read" when done. I also was an extremely avid reader in my younger years, but have drifted away from it for other hobbies. I love being able to listen while I do other things ☺️ thanks for another great WIP and chat🐈

I’m going to miss the mini shoutouts to the summer cricket. Also that’s so cool that your mom is a neonatal nurse practitioner. That’s actually exactly what I’m interested in doing. My aunt is an L&D nurse and I always loved hearing her stories.

I love listening to audiobooks! When I talk about a book with others I usually say “read”. I too comprehend audio better when my hands are busy. Tetris or other block style games are very helpful. 🐈‍⬛

I’m so, so happy that you’re loving the series! And YES! It’s one of my favorite series!! I go back and forth with what I say…I think I primarily say I “read” the book, but I do interchangeably say “listened” sometimes. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Oh and I’d recommend Maas’ other series to start next 😉 🐈 🐈‍⬛ 🐾

Glad you are feeling better. I really like listening to audiobooks. I used to read all the time, but several years ago, I developed some vision problems. That's when I started listening to books. I like when you can play a sample of the book to hear the narrator. I have to like their voice. It is nice to listen to a book and have your hands free for diamond painting.

Hey Katie! Hope you leg heals quickly ❤️. That's exactly what I do while I diamond paint, I use audible and to me it's worth it. And I just say "I listed to blah book the other day". 😺

🐈 when I used to have a two hour commute to work I listened to audio books, they were actual cds so I often found myself sitting in the driveway when I got home because it was the “good” part. I really enjoyed the Wheel of Time series

I say I'm listening to a book, but I'll also say "Oh yeah, I've read that one!" I think of it as reading, lol.😽

Can't wait to see how this kit turns out.. as a blonde haired with glasses cat lover I see myself in it. Glad you are giving yourself a small break. We all need that from time to time. I have never tried audiobooks but have been tempted to. I used to love to read as a kid so maybe I need to invest in a tablet or small laptop to have with me while I diamond paint!

I enjoy your WIP and Chats so much. Especially hearing about your boys. My kids are adults now, and raising them was quite an adventure. My husband and our three kids all have ADHD. Our oldest daughter has Asperger’s; our son had reading comprehension disabilities; and our youngest daughter has Bipolar I disorder. “Normal” parenting wasn’t successful so I out-psyched my kids. If the girls argued about a Barbie doll I would ground Barbie. When the girls whined at me about it, I told them go take it up with Barbie since she was the naughty one. Our extra-curricular activities were always experiential, like zoos, children’s museums and a biannual trip to Great Wolf’s Lodge. I love hearing about your family activities with your boys. Please let your audience know how your kids reacted to Great Wolf’s Lodge.
