Your final question was about why bother getting diagnosed if you don't need services. One answer is that you don't know what services you may need in the future. As we all age, dementia could change how your autism presents, the loss of a parent or a spouse could affect you differently, etc. Having the diagnosis now could make future healthcare encounters meet your needs so much more. Thank you so much for sharing, your insight is appreciated. You're the best!

Thank you so much for the kind shout out! As always, your WIP and Chat was excellent Katie, and it is awesome to see you shining a light on us lost generation girls 😊 I love the resources you posted, and if you want another one, the book Neurotribes by Steve Silberman is excellent! I can’t believe it’s already been a year since you started this journey for yourself, and I can’t wait to see where else this journey takes you 💕

I’ve been Diamond painting for several years, always a single placer. Finally treated myself to a DAC thin multiplacer and I do believe I might be getting the hang of it! ❤️🇨🇦

🏳️‍🌈 After a though week, I finally got to sit down and listen to this weeks WIP and chat - and I really loved to here about your journey and thoughts and gave my brain some really needed rest from worrying about my sick 8 year old puppy. Thank you for sharing and you should really don't let people get to you about not responding on EVERY comment - with all the great content and all the comments you wouldn't have time for your family❤️🧡💛💚🩵💙💜🩷

♾Thank you for sharing your story with us! Don’t worry about replying to all your comments. That seems an unreasonable expectation to me! Thanks for the video! 🌈

Thank you for sharing your journey, as a female that was diagnosed with autism as a child, due to moderately high needs, it’s educational to see the other side. With lots of support, I’m now much more independent and can (mostly) function in society.

♾️ Katie thank you for being so open and vulnerable. I believe you are right...like minds tend to be attracted to each other. So many of the things you said made a lot of sense to me. We have kiddos in our family who have struggled in this area and I have asked myself many of the types of questions you addressed today. From my own experiences, autism does look different in every person. Having support makes all the difference and embracing what makes us different can ultimately bring forth amazing abilities as well. ♾️

Firstly, thank you for sharing your journey with us! I haven’t quite gotten to that segment of the chat yet, but before we get into it - I wanted to say that I thought of you the other day when I found a video on TikTok of a young woman saying how boring life must be for people who aren’t Swifties which was then stitched by my other non-crafting community, aka kpop. And it turned into my whole fyp showing off their album or photo card collections - kpop albums come in different versions and every version has a photobook and inclusions… like stickers, various photocards of individual members/duos/groups, bookmarks, posters, mini posters, post cards, etc.

Thank you for the WIP n Chat...
Responding to every comment is simply not realistic. Those who complain, have deeper issues. You are ONE we are MANY. Simply stay true to yourself and what is realistic to do.
You are a very well spoken woman. I enjoy your intelligence and insight. Diamond painting has been a very joyful thing for me. You are a major contributing factor for that joy. Thank you. 🌈

My oldest is on the mild spectrum. She’s been is several types of therapy since the age of 2. Make sure your son gets a 504 with the school system. It’s been a lifesaver for my daughter . She stayed in mainstream classes . The 504 gives them accommodations they need . Like she needed to chew gum to help her and needs more time for assignments due to overstimulation . She was allowed to go walk in the hallway when she got overestimation . This happened a lot the beginning of the school year dealing with transition of scheduling ect. The 504 does follow them to college to help kids too and she is now a third year college student and uses her 504 plan . ( we are in Illinois and is the 504 plan here ) . It’s been a long road but early intervention like our daughter had makes a huge difference.

No one can expect you to see every comment. 🫶🏻 if you do manage to interact with people through the comment section that’s awesome and we should appreciate that but please don’t feel like you have a duty to be responding and reading all of your comments. You have way too many to ever be able to keep up with that all the time no one should expect that from you. There are plenty of content creators that don’t look at their comment section at ALL bc they don’t want to deal with seeing all the rude and unnecessary things people say and that is completely understandable and within their rights as a creator and a human trying to protect themselves. People should feel grateful when you do respond. 🫶🏻 we love you and are here for your videos whether you heart our comments or not. You’re awesome keep being you unapologetically!
