another way to do this is: go to settings > search "default formatter" > select "prettier"

I googled 'how to add prettier to user settings' and got a video that says: "Go ahead and google that if you cannot find it".

VSCode has formatting built in, even on save. You don't need prettier for that. Prettier is just an extension that formats your code in a specific way

Thanks my man. Had this on my other computer, couldn't remember how to do it on my new one.

How do you get your brackets to be multi-colored like that?

It looks like for HTML its better to use the default fomatter, i keep getting weird whitespaces and line jumps in a randomish way with prettier added.

What if you don’t have a .prettierrc file in your workspace, will it still work?

whats the point in doing a tutorial, and then telling us to find something ourselves hahahaha

Come on brother, you need a little more commitment, like if your not going to do a complete walkthrough to help others then don’t do it, all or nothing at all

Definitely? Prettier? That's a very opinionated view.

Due to the nature of prettier (being a OPINIONATED formatter), it's a personal choice. I very much DONT recommend ever using it.
