Pretty cool / I was having a cold beer and had to take a second look to see the driver was on the other side .  I saw a ford with a similar combination in Henrietta Tx many years ago . The fellow told me he pulled his trailer with it . I think he managed to get it hot an damaged the motor .

Dan "The Man" Tyminski and a Detroit Diesel. Nothing sounds better. (some stuff sounds as good, but not better.)

453T was state of the art in the 1950's but parts hard to come by and weighs like 1200lbs (100 more than a 6bt) and most it came from factory was 225hp. Probably pushing the internals to the limit at 300hp. 6bt will do 300hp easy and you can push it to 500hp before you start needing head studs and such. Now an aluminum 6v71T, THAT would be cool!

Yea, no doubt about the wrong side of the road. I had to set my phone on my shoulder and watch in a mirror to get you guy's on the right side. LOL😄

That's pretty cool, I'm working on a low profile Pete project and was trying to find a 6/53 with Jake's. They are hard to come by up here in Alaska as the population is so small and so many old trucks were crushed when scrap steel prices were up for that Chinese dam a few years bacķ.

Ended up coming across wrecked truck with a DT466TA (turbo aftercooled) last week for a such a deal I couldn't pass it up. No Jake's but should be good to go for upwards of 250 000 miles or more if the odometer is correct.

How many gears do you actually use. My original donor truck had 5 speed main and a 3 speed auxiliary but found I really only used 6 or 7 speeds.

I'd like that F250. Would u trade on a Toyota with a factory turbo diesel?
