1976 F350 4-53 Detroit Diesel

Running threw the gears on my F350 pickup

actually, to the best of my knowledge, with the nature of the 53 series Detroit being two stroke, winding it out between gears is almost necessary and sounds cool

What transmission / clutch combo did you use for your Set up, that would bolt to a 4-53? I am interested in doing a similar project but will be looking at using a 6-53.

Nice truck I have 74 f250 4x4 with a 3/53 and 5spd

Your killing me with the screaming and screaming downshifts. Can it even go 55 ? Did over 9yrs. with a Timberjack skidder with a 3-53 Detriot and an Old Pettibone with the 4-53 with no need or want to scream them that high to force a runaway on one.

If it is in a 4x4 it is useless. Gas engines are much better for 4 wheeling. If it is a 2wd then it is super cool.
