Coronavirus or COVID-19 affects people differently. If you have lung cancer and you’re diagnosed with COVID-19 it’s important to speak with your regular treating healthcare team who know your condition and can provide advice that’s specific to you.

Most people with COVID-19 will experience mild symptoms such as a sore throat or cough and some might not experience symptoms at all. For a small percentage of people, the infection can be severe and they may become really unwell and require hospitalisation. For those people, the virus can lead to other complications such as pneumonia and even respiratory failure.
