I caught on to "certain" moms years ago.
When their adult sons are bums and she wants him off of her couch and out of her house, the first thing that comes out of her mouth is, "You should date my son." But, if he has any degree of success, where he can be a proper mate, she will fight tooth and nail to keep you and he from getting together. Because, she wants him to be her husband and provider. Or, if you do manage to get married, she will pull out all the stops to break the marriage up.
Go date in a more healthy culture where your mother in law had/has a husband.

A lot of these boy moms are insecure and emotionally sick! And the sad part about it is, when most sons grow into adulthood and develop their own lives they don't even stick around to help take care of their parents the way adult daughters do, and will literally have no concern.
