3-Part Healing Framework for Chronic Illness Caused by Emotional Trauma

Here is the 3-part framework I use for healing chronic illness/symptoms caused by emotional trauma trapped in the body...
Step 2: Cognitive mapping of what wounds are connected to your physical symptoms - what are your symptoms trying to tell you? What are the beliefs and pain points that are trapped? What are the emotions trapped by shame or judgement? Part of this phase is also cognitively and somatically working with shame and judgement that comes up because those serve as barriers/blocks to the root pain underneath. Learning/seeking knowledge and wisdom about how emotions work, what trauma does in the body, emotional needs of children, how attachment trauma happens and impacts children, etc is part of this step. We need to understand that every emotion has a GOOD REASON for being there and is a normal and natural response to the circumstances we grew up in. This is key to the DE-SHAMING process, which is essential for healing!
Step 3: Emotional releases (crying, screaming, channeling the inner child expressing the things she could never express as a child). This third step MUST happen after the other two because in order to process the emotion and release the pain permanently, we have to have a safe and loving space for them to move through. Step 1 is creating love and safety in the body through the body's language and Step 2 is creating safety in the mind (de-shaming the emotions and making friends with the wounds before feeling them).
