How to melt or splice paracord together

I'm guessing this holds about 100 pounds. If you are worried about breaking strength, it would be better to use a knot or a continuous piece of paracord.

Very helpful! I’ve tried fusing paracord ends together in the past, with very limited success, as I could always pull them apart afterward. I didn’t realize my problem was that I was burning the ends before attempting to fuse them together. Thank you.

Will this method be strong and “unbreakable” as well for 1/4” paracordrope? I’m wanting to put handles on a cedar basket I’m making as a gift
