I cite my sources and they may differ than other people's accounts, so I don't guarantee the actual accuracy of my videos.

Limp Bizkit - Limp Bizkit and Creed were some of the most popular bands by the late 90’s early 2000’s on both rock radio and MTV.

As reported by MTV at the 2000 incarnation of New York Station KROCK’s aptly titled dysfunctional family picnic concert, Creed and Limp Bizkit traded barbs with one another during their performances. Limp Bizkit would take to the stage an hour late,

Limp Bizkit’s label Interscope tried to do some damage control telling MTV there was confusion over Limp's set time. Once limp bizkit took the stage things took a bizarre turn when Durst launched into a rant against Creed frontman Scott Stapp telling the crowd and I quote
"I want to dedicate this next song to the lead singer of Creed.... That guy is an egomaniac," "He's a f***ing punk, and he's backstage right now acting like f***ing Michael Jackson. F** that motherf**er, and f** you too.... [RealVideo] And if you want, there's going to be a booth with pillows and blankets for when Creed comes on."
Creed would end up putting out an official statement that read We are extremely disappointed that Fred Durst has taken his personal feelings toward us public, considering we have never met or spoken to him. We are more disappointed that Fred is manipulating the media and the truth by using Creed as a scapegoat for his own immature and egotistical actions."

Creed’s camp contended that Durst made his comments out of anger over where Limp Bizkit was on the bill. According to MTV limp Bizkit were set to play before STP, Ozzy and Creed with Creed’s statement adding "He then refused to go on stage causing management from KROCK, Creed, Stone Temple Pilots, and Ozzy Osbourne to spend nearly an hour trying to figure out how to get Limp Bizkit to take the stage. Fred finally agreed to play only after he 'finished his dinner,' having accomplished his obvious goal of delaying his set."

Creed would attack Durst again after a voice recording of Durst leaving harassing and threatening voice mail for the band Taproot after they opted not to sign with his label Interscope. I’ve done a whole video on the feud the link is down below. Creed wouldi issue another statement calling Durst’s voice recording and i quote "vulgar comments and violent threats... totally indicative of a mobster mentality" at TapRoot. Scott stapp would also challenge durst to a boxing match for charity, but the challenge would go unaccepted from Durst’s camp.

311 - It was during the promotion for his solo record The Great Divide in 2005 during a tour stopover in Baltimore during thanksgiving weekend that STapp found himself staying at the same hotel as the band 311. Stapp who was intoxicated according to reports was downing shots and smashing glasses against the bar when he saw 311 frontman SA Martinez with his wife sitting at a nearby

I just watched Theo Von interview Scott and I was never really a fan of his(Scott) before but that interview was one of the best podcasts I've ever listened to. Scott talked a lot about his huge ego back in the day, not to mention all the trappings of fame and how dark things got. He also talked about severe childhood abuse and why he ended up going down all the roads(not good ones) that he did. The guy admits he was not a good person but he sounds like he's come a long way. It's a great listen!

Scott has made such a great turnaround and has a beautiful wife and kids. He’s really kind and humble. He’s even working on new music. He’s really a great example of how someone can change for the better.

I’ve met post-substance abuse and mental breakdown Scott Stapp through a friend who managed his solo tours. He was surprisingly a wonderful person. It’s crazy what superstardom can do to someone who deep down is clearly a great guy. My buddy even said he was one of the best bosses he’s had in the industry. I wish him well.

I don't care for this guy's later weirdo antics but "My Own Prison" is still one of the best albums of the late 90s.

Awe. Howard was upset that Scott out "sterned" him. Stern is a schmuck

Scott Stapp is the guy who sang "Evenflow" at a karaoke bar & turned it into a career.

I love Scott Stapp and Creed. He is great front man, vocalist, performer and song writer. His and Tremonti's hit songs are timeless.

After hearing about 311’s response to their encounter with Stapp - those boys are pure CLASS. I’m gonna go watch several of their vids now & revisit their tunes.

From the start, Scott acted like he was doing you a favor by showing up...now he does me a favor by staying away 🤟

He always gave me a vibe as a guy with bipolar disorder back in the early 2000, since he always had issues with his band members then it turned out that he was diagnosed with bipolar disease in 2015.

So glad Scott is doing good.
I seen him this summer. Let me tell you I've seen 200+ rock shows. He was top two vocals I've ever heard. Hands down sounded like it was 1999

Bro I could imagine how mortified Scott was to see himself on TV like that

When I was 13 I started playing guitar. One day my sister and I went to a creed concert. The next day they were filming the music video for the song Don't Stop Dancing in Hoboken, NJ where I lived at the time. I ran to the building and there were a bunch of people. No interaction with anyone except Mark Tremonti. He seems to be the most down to Earth. We were all told to keep back and as he walked by me he extended his hand for a shake. Later, I was standing with a friend near the area and there he was eating cake in between shots. He talked to us for a while and signed an autograph. Super chill and cool to his fans.

I watched the podcast with Leo von. It’s honestly surprising he was able to hold himself together for any length of time and help create a band that made tons of hits that will play thru the ages. I’m glad he finally got the help he needed and became a better person.

I think Stern's complaints were a little hypocritical. He's made a lot of similar comments to women over the years.

Scott Stapp doing those karate sounds is somehow both hilarious and intolerable.

I think I'd definitely side with Durst

Everyone makes mistakes and says/does stuff that they regret. I loved Creed and still do, as well as Scott. Saw him last year in Florida and he and his band were awesome and the crowd loved them! Seeing him again this year in Florida and looking forward to it. Looking forward not backwards because we all have skeletons in our closets that we'd rather forget. Unfortunately those in the limelight are constantly reminded of their past even though they are trying to do better and be a better human being. Give Scott a break.
