I was a Snapon franchisee, and yes sometimes you need to fire a customer and not let them waste your time and money. It's business and you need to make money too.

Snapon tools are good but the prices are way way way to high

As a home diy mechanic, harbor freight tools are amazing.

I hate to be this way but YouTube only shows me your tool truck and you make it seem like snap-on has the worst customer service known to man.

Snap-On lifetime warranty if the salesperson wants to. Harbor freight lifetime warranty no matter what.

i remember when a broken Snap-On tool was rare.

As a mechanic we pay the tool truck exorbitant prices for warranty and customer service . If your vendor is not going to supply both of them I wouldn't pay for the stuff.I have and either, In the fact that you're gonna sit here and rate their shop.Because there's no heat in it's dirty.Well I don't think I'd allow you in my shop

each Snap-on truck is individually owned and service. Definitely varies on the person. I like the Snap-on tools that I have but for the price you have to be picky because not all of them are really worth the price.

You know what the money you charge for your tools. You need to not say a word.

When Mechanics start telling you to buy tools at Harbor Freight cause their good enough and come with a no questions asked warranty, Snap-on You lost the plot!

Harbor freight doesn’t give a crap how you handle your tool, they’ll replace it. No questions asked no matter how mangled it is.

Old tools were the best, no matter what brand. All the new stuff is straight out of China and Taiwan, made from pot metal. All the tools that were handed down to me are still kicking, while I have to replace the new stuff almost yearly.

Remember folks it's only a warranty if the truck likes you

Could never own snap on. The warranty is WILDLY inconsistent. Snap on lives off of government contracts so they could careless about customer treatment

When I sold Mac Tools, some of my best customers had some of the least clean shops however, they were my best and loyal customers. I preferred to go to those shops than the big dealerships where they changed mechanics weekly. These are just my thoughts. I am not questioning anybody else’s business practices. I feel that you’re free to choose any brand you like and when you pay for a top brand, you expect top service, including warranty without asking questions or criticizing. There for the experts to use them and should be treated that way.

I was in my teens when I started purchasing Snap-on tools. The tool dealer wouldn't open a line of credit. I had to make payments till the tools were paid for before he would give them to me. After that truck stopped coming another guy took over his route. I never tried to get credit. If I couldn't afford to pay cash I didn't need the tool. Now I'm retired so no need for them to come to me. If I need warranty on a tool I just keep the broken tool in my car and when I see a Snap-on truck I follow it till it stops LOL. Whoever is driving usually isn't very happy.

Geez I'm glad you're not my dealer. BTW snap on does suck these days.

Shops like that are a never ending battle, especially when they fall back on payments. Good for you Val, you did the right move.
Shops like that, especially with attitude, are usually good for 2 sales calls, FIRST and LAST!
