I QUIT Watching... But Did NOT Expect This

Two years ago, I quit watching the stuff on the internet that guys watch on the internet. I'm not talking about Alpha M. videos. I'm talking about those movies. Today, I will go over some results from quitting that are amazing. Some are surprising that I didn't expect. Then, I will end the video with some tips and strategies for stopping if you're interested. You'll be amazed if you're somebody who might have a problem or just want to see what life is like without it. I was shocked at what happened and did not expect to be as motivated and accessible. This destructive habit can make you feel bad about yourself and occupy time that you could spend being more productive and making yourself feel better. It's incredible what happens in every aspect of your life.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU QUIT

Self-esteem. The first thing that happened when I quit was my self-esteem went up immediately. I feel guilty every time afterward. Sure, you feel fantastic for it literally a split second from that dopamine hit, but then a crash happens because you feel guilty.

Motivation. In the past, you'd have to go out and do something to get a dopamine hit. For example, you must leave your couch to approach a girl. These days, you can have hits of dopamine on demand by pulling out your phones and surfing TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and more. We can even go to those movie sites I was talking about. Every time you pull out your phone, you release a little dopamine. You must go through a dopamine detox by removing yourself from scrolling social media and watching those movies.

Sex drive. My libido went up through the roof because it was getting pent up and making action happen without the facilitation of the movies. Touching yourself and releasing the hounds with solo action is not bad, but using the movies instead of imagination is. After quitting the movies, I found more women more beautiful and had a better sex life. I wasn't as lazy in my relationship and became a better husband, partner, and motivated boss.

Confidence. You end up so much more focused and dialed in because you don't have that dopamine being released daily through unhealthy means. Giving up the movies is literally a confidence and self-esteem cheat code.

DOPAMINE DETOX TIPS

Acknowledge you have a problem. Or acknowledge that you have a desire to stop. Many people don't think they have a problem but know that it's not something they want to do. If it was easy, everybody would stop.

Identify your triggers. What are the triggers that make you think that it's time to go do that? What trigger turns you on to wanting to go do it? Is it Instagram, TikTok, the internet, or YouTube? Is it a time of day? Once you've identified the trigger, make access more difficult. You may want to remove social media apps.

Replacement. Replace the time that you were spending watching those movies with something better. I replaced the movies with a different habit, and I chose push-ups. Over time, as you progress into the future, the urge will diminish, and you won't think about it as much. At first, you'll wonder and think about it. But the longer you go, the more you'll realize how incredible you feel.

Pornography addiction is a nasty habit that I wouldn't wish on anyone. What worked for me was replacing the triggers with spending time with loved ones or finding an activity to do and making it inconvenient to watch porn putting search filters on a laptop and taking it one day at a time and setting new goals for yourself if you're struggling with pornography addiction it's tough I know but you got this.

100% agree with you Aaron. I made this change before and I experienced the same positive changes in my life. Watching the Hub and other social media sites regularly will absolutely numb your mind to the point where almost nothing is all that exciting anymore. My confidence improved along with my focus both at work and at home. My sex drive has always been very high but I found myself more engaging with my wife which really helped improve the quality of our intimacy a strengthen our connection with each other. We all relapse and go back to the movies once in a while but as the youtube meme goes "We must stay focused my brothers, we MUST stay focused."

My struggle with it was unfortunately years ago when a "porn addiction" wasn't a thing. There wasn't any help for it. I couldn't stop and it cost me my 20 year marriage. Since it wasn't a thing, yet, my wife at the time didn't have anything to reference to try to understand my problem and try to help me. I don't blame her for leaving me. It has made me more understanding of other people's different types of addictions. I wish I'd never started.

One thing that dropping 'the bad habit' might do is increase your desire to study your partner more in the bedroom. Take time to learn her specific erogenous zones, be a bit playful and dominating by pinning her down and tickling her, put your forehead against hers and have her look at you(she will almost always laugh from that), and finally be imaginative with her. That will increase your confidence and hers and help her be more open minded with and around you.

Honestly stopping porn about 4 months ago, was definitely the most and best decisions God told me to do . And decided to focus on my health/ gym and career instead, since I’m young ( 17 ) going to college I realize that it’s making me stronger and confident not just myself but with talking to woman .

Same thing happened to me with video games. Once i started working and going to school at the same time, i realized i had little to no time for games and it honestly did feel good. Same thing with "the movies". After getting home from work or school, i immediately crash and it never crosses my mind because i am not idle like i used to before. So start doing something wether it be working or schooling and if your still struggling at home with those addictions, work more or stay at school a little longer to talk with friends and/or do homework.

Also with social media (except youtube), i deleted all my accounts because
1. They were destroying my mental health
2. I was addicted
3. I didnt even talk to anyone on those apps, so it was a lot easier to delete knowing i dont use it to communicate

I just got back into watching the movies after 4 months of quitting, I realized after my movie session my love stick didn't feel fully strong after my session
So I agree with alpha on this

what really helped me was meditation and the R.A.I.N methode.
R- Recognize that your horny
A- Accept that your horny. It's normal, dont feel bad about it
I- Investigate. How does it feel to be horny. What kind of physical sensations do you have. E.g. I feel like my chest gets a bit tighter.
N- Non-identification. This feeling/sensation does not define who you are. Tell yourself that.

The Rain methode works on other addiction as well and is based on meditation practices. The idea is to not get attach to your feelings/urges or suppress them. Just letting them pass .

Yo Im am alcoholic, do any drug that goes past me, and addicted to this shit. Just turned 21 and constantly feel like shit, I used to watch you and I am so glad I made it back to your channel years later because these videos really help me to kicking this stuff.

I began my journey of quitting about a week ago. I told my girlfriend to set a screen time password on my phone and computer that blocks adult websites. I’d be lying if I said this has been easy though. I’ve have so many urges to look even though I physically can’t but this was just the motivational video I needed to remind me why I’m quitting.

Im in a long distance relationship for 2 and a half years and we getting married in January and all my thoughts are (im not quitting porn until i get married) because i tried so many time to quit without a way to let out from time to time is impossible for me ...if any one has a tip for my situation i will be thankful for sharing your thoughts
