I've been doing this media break recently and it's actually helped with coming up with fresh new ideas. Some of the best things in life are free if you stop and pay attention. great video!

this is what I needed. I never understood why I was such a strong procrastinator despite having no insta, snap and barely having contacts to talk to. its simply me filling out hours of my day to replace silence, a little sad, it seems...

I also went to this conclusion about YouTube consumption two or three month ago. If I want to watch my favourite video makers, I sit down on a couch and watch it like a movie. If I need to do something, I do it in silence and without any distraction. This strategy saves so much energy!

This is my first comment in English! :3

I've actually deleted my social media apps for a while. This video seems like a sign to also create some healthy distance with YouTube. I recently graduated and I feel like there are various new, uncomfortable challenges and feelings I need to face. Memes and social media are serving as a distraction from my internal work. Thank you for this video!

We love a self-aware, emotionally intelligent king. Self-reflection and introspection are so important

There’s a very thin line between being introspective and overthinking and I crossed that line ages ago lol

I LOVED this, I think I’m going to try the same thing (starting in a few months though 😅) and LOL at the “I’m coming back to you camera”

I realized the same issue about a year ago. I started avoiding social media completley and tried to read books instead of consuming something on the internet. Since then so many things changed… I just feel bettet an life is filled with more sunshine

To me it’s the opposite. I’m already a really reflective person. Every second where I don’t watch anything and being alone I’m constantly reflecting my actions, what I said etc. YouTube is a great way to get different views on the same topic or just have fun watching something. But in one point Im totally with you and that’s the constant stimulation. Watching YouTube is fine, but every free second is too much.

I tried this during my boards for 6 months ...
And YES, it actually helps you to cancel out all unnecessary thoughts and eventually concentration gets better to keep going....‼️👍🏻👊🏻

I totally relate to this habit of filling every empty space with content consumption almost like blocking thinking time

(YouTube Consumers Anonymous Meeting Commences)

Me: “Ok, so shall we introduce ourselves?”
Nasir: “Hi, my name is Nasir and I’m a YouTube Consumer.”
Everyone: “Hi, Nasir!”

You know, analysing everything to death is not always good either, so be carefull, overthinking can become a bad habit in itself.

Part of YT is people saying things like they're quitting the platform and then it turns out they're lying. And then people just keep watching. What a species.

Honestly in so many aspects of life, I really look up to you. Being a prospective Medical student, I keep thinking med school will be too daunting and eat away at my personal life, but I think your videos are not only what keeps me motivated but also reassures me that I can still have control over my life and how I succeed in it

The dude said I'm quitting youtube 1 year ago but he still publushed so many videos after that. You see youtubers do not post videos for education, they post videos for your attention. Your attention is the most valuable thing to anyone including you. These guys make thousands of $ because of us, but think about this, when was the last time you saw the content on youtube and then applied it to your life and made changes to it? This is the endless illusion, stop wasting your attentiom, invest your attention to yourself. Youtubers are liars...

i would reccommend 'the happiness planner' where they give you questions like 'what are you most grateful for' & 'name 3 things youre excited about today'. It helps you be reflective in bitesize amounts without it becoming a big essay!
