Kraze: "looks more menacing than he actually is"
Me: walks in and gets immediately one shot

Also the Moonveil Katana. Can be found after killing the Magma Wyrm catacomb boss. Its fairly easy to kill, very slow attacking, susceptible to damage and essentially can be taken out at a low level if you know what to do and are patient and learn its attack patterns. Very strong Katana, does bleed dmg and has a crazy good special where you unleash either a horizontal or vertical magic wave slash, kinda like ichigo's attack from bleach. This attack does both physical and magic damage to enemies, scales with int and dex and just looks plain cool. I got it at Lv. 26 so you can get it early if you know where to look and what to do.

Awesome video!

FYI: battle hammer’s location has been swapped with another item in 1.03. I don’t know with what (or why, for that matter) but if anyone couldn’t find it, that’s why.

From software's world's are amazing. I haven't played the souls series but I've watched playthroughs of them and it always amazes me seeing the beginning of the game and thinking you have a feel for the world they've built and then later in the game everything looking completely different. I've seen a good bit of gameplay of elden ring and thought the world mainly looked like what you see in the trailers. I was wrong again. Later in the game everything looks so different and distinct. Every game has areas that just look amazing and are begging to be explored. I plan on going back and playing all the dark souls games and demons souls and its awesome knowing I'll get to experience those worlds for the first time. Even though I've seen most of what they have to offer, I haven't played them so it'll still be fresh to me. And I really can't wait to dive in to elden ring. It looks amazing.

@9:06 You don't have to meet Renna/Ranni at the start of the game. She will recruit you regardless when you meet her in her tower.

I can't fathom that all of these "early game" weapons have 1-3 stats that are 30-50 apiece. How is that early game? Haha

I can't believe you recommended the DMGS for early game/mid game and totally slept on the Moonveil. Magic katana with blade beam iai strikes. Light attack is a close range horizontal for killing groups, heavy attack is a long-range vertical blade beam that can headshot if the enemy has a head hitbox slightly more forward than the rest of it. I leveled these up to plus nine and I don't regret it in the least.

For another cheap investment, I don't remember where you find it, but the sorcery rod that boosts gravity spells is absolutely obscene versus large enemies. Throwing rocks with the basic gravity spell with a decent intelligence while using that staff will often score knockdowns on three casts if you charge them. My entire strategy in the early game became using the gravity rod to score knockdowns while I was on a horse, leaping off and following up with a katana in the eye, and then blade beaming. Once I had a decent amount of intelligence, stuff started melting.

Lhutel the Headless is probably the second best summon behind the mimic, at max level it can solo the draconic sentinel and you can find it early in the ruins on the hill of the Weeping Peninsula near the minor erdtree.

Gravitas is an amazing skill. I went right for meteoric ore blade on my second playthrough and it made all the npc invasions and gaol duels sooo much easier.

The mimic is the strongest summon imo

Though a bit of a pain to obtain, Black Knife Tiche summon is superb. Very dodgy and heavy flame burns. Can challenge their evergaol after yhe same area that holds Ranni's body

You can get the mimic tear much earlier by descending down the meteor crater after defeating redahn

What do you advise is you missed Renna at the first church so never spoke to her, so she never gave you the sunning bell or dog summons, and had to buy them does that then mean that quest line won’t be available ?

I've been carried by my summons on boses that I can't solo (i'm ~70+ and am bad in the game ). My go to summon used to be the "taurus" looking guy from the underground river. The charged bow shots are so strong. It all changed when I tried the headless spearman with shield (Luthel if i remember). It's so strong at max level that it can solo boses.

The end of the Ranni quest is nearly at the end of the game. I'm currently working on that quest line on my second character. Anything that requires you beating Radahn is well into mid-late game. I'm thinking most people should be around 70-80 at least when they attempt to fight Radahn. He was nerfed hard af recently, so maybe you can get away with it around 70, but still, that's well over halfway through. I expect most people playing normally to be finishing their first playthrough of the game somewhere between lvl 100-120

Iv only used rotten breath on radahn however if its as effective on other bosses, rotten breath is absolutely over powered when it comes to boss fights . In the open world not so much
