I always wondered why Japan has so many vending machines... until I went there in the summer... where I rarely had to pee...
they were such a "conbinient" way to hydrate.

2:57 grind it out is right. it reminds me of when i was on the express to Kansai and the train stopped about 10 miles out because a typhoon was rolling through and flooded the tracks so a giant line formed downstairs for taxis and the most frustrating part about it was that local individuals were taking entire cabs for themselves rather than everyone piling in as many as the cab could carry and splitting the cost (we were all going to the same destination so it makes sense). Would've missed my flight if JAL hadn't let me reschedule and i actually cut the line when a taxi driver came outside the designated loading area and asked if we needed to get to the airport in english, but i was prepared to wait for the long haul.

So er, the point about the everyone being accepting of queueing, that seems to only apply to everywhere except Kyoto and Osaka, those 2 places have people that would just go "Nanikore" in the annoyed businessman tone half the time lol
