Tried my best to minimize spoilers. Few still shots of David here and there to better illustrate my reasoning behind his build. TLDR: David probably watched cyberpunk guides before building himself lmao

I do notice that there are more enemies, in the newest update, that apparently have their own Sandevistans. Quite a few been zipping around more often.

There needs to be a hardcore mode where you have to manage chroming up against a rising risk of cyberpsychosis.

I liked how the anime portrayed cyberpsychosis. Kinda wish that was implemented into the game. Like certain places have poor quality implants or you put too much into you causes issues.

David had the rocket launcher, not the gorrilla arms. He just had big arms because he got them from Maine, who was probably an Animal. Maines girlfriend had the gorilla arms. David also had synth lungs, we saw them be installed which is missing from the build. He should also have the synaptic accelerator and kerenzikov as his nervous system because we can see them installed on his back with his sandy. He also does use pistols, we see him use them constantly thru the show, so a smart link and a Kurasawa.

Cyberpunk Edgerunners got me back into the game and it's very fun making builds like this. Also, the fact that you can even get Rebecca's gun is a huge W.

Honestly i love how they incorporated music from the game that otherwise would’ve been unappreciated and gave it the flowers they deserved. If they ever make a season 2 following a diff character i would love to see Never Fade Away showcased.

After many MANY hours spent in NC on console and dealing with all the missed opportunity, to see this anime perfectly nail everything almost brought a tear to my eye. Finally CP gets what it deserves. Studio Trigger made a fucking masterpiece.

The fact Adam beat David so easily even with all the implants David had really shows us how strong V is. Cyberpunks universe is so fucking awesome, I hope they make plenty of stuff on it like movies, more games, more comics etc because there is so much stuff they can expand on. Plenty of Legends like David and V that we could see in future shows/games. I just love it so much.

Also something I loved about the anime was how well they showed cyberpsychosis, we really got to see what it does to someone and how no one can avoid it. I’m replaying cyberpunk right now and when I defeat smasher, imma use Guts for the final shot and I’ll wear David’s jacket. Revenge at its finest

I think the cooldown in the game replicates v's self awareness of the effects, since they're always pretty level headed and are shown to have a good chunk of cyberware knowledge regardless of your choices shown in the scav hunt and helping that one guy replace his chromed up 3rd leg

the scene where david sandies over the big hammerbrutes back and annihilates him is just chef's kiss, replayed it like 10x it's fkin badass

You forgot about his HJKE-11 Yukimura that he uses. Which actually was a clever pick for him, he never showed much aptitude for guns. So a smart weapon is perfect for him.

It's absolutely insane that I spent 100 hours in this game without even realizing the sandevistan was a thing until watching the anime.

About the cyberpsychosis thing. In the ttrpg there's a mechanic where you have to make a saving roll against increasing odds every time you install more chrome, once you lose that character becomes an NPC that'll usually end up hostile to the players. CPs is treated differently, they don't necessarily become insane massmurderers but more like actual psychopaths.
Anyway, a similar mechanic where you essentially have to beat your own, or other players, build could probably be made in a pretty cool way.

Happy to see an edgerunners inspired video! Apparently iv been using Lucy’s build since I started the game (Netrunner primary + stealth/cool and mono wire). This has always been my primary and have not looked back.

There is one huge downside to this build that you're not realizing.

You don't get to punch Fingers.

EDIT: OKAY I GET IT YOU CAN TALK TO HIM BEFOREHAND, BUT MY POINT REMAINS. IF YOU DON'T KNOW YOU WANT THIS BUILD BEFOREHAND, YOU'RE NOT GETTING IT.

Imagine how crazy multiplayer would be with multiple people using a sadevistine ... that would be any programmers nightmare

This was my main build by default so when I saw it used in the show I just fell in love. Speedster brawler is such a fun class to play.

One of the first builds I made in Cp2077 was a street samurai build that revolved around Blades, Cool, stealth, and the sandi. During the mission where you sneak into the 'saka warehouse to sabotage the float I killed every guard in the place by running around the outside of the room, marking targets, and then running through the middle killing them one at a time. I was "detected" but they never saw me. Just sliced up bodies. That was one of those gaming moments you never forget.
