You guys keep mentioning the good ending having only 4 heads, well let me tell you what's actually going on: In the bad ending you can tell the Golden Freddy head is in the darkness because of the light, the soul is still in the head. In the good ending, all the animatronics don't have the light anymore, neither does Golden Freddy making him hidden in the darkness. It's not that's there's FOUR HEADS, it's just that you can't see the fifth one!

You may be overthinking this. He may be seemingly nonexistent in the Good Ending, but he was a secret in the first game. All you see of him in the Bad Ending is his glow, so without that, he would be pretty difficult to spot in the dark scenery.

8-bit, I would like to clear up the link between the Marionette and Golden Freddy as well as possibly explaining his history in the FNAF series. Now I do believe that in Fredbear's Diner, Golden Freddy was Fredbear with Spring Bonnie/Sprintrap alongside him. However, I find it likely the Marionette was a functional animatronic at that location since the original dead child's soul would have to possess something right after it's death, and we know that it gained control over the Puppet. Anyway, after the child's murder at the diner Golden Freddy and Springtrap were kept away in the Safe Room of each location that followed until the one we see in FNAF 2 where the murderer actually took the Golden Freddy suit away with him once he had used it to murder another five children and disposed of it somehow, with Golden Freddy now lost. And the reason the Marionette and Golden Freddy are linked is because they were both in the same diner and were both active animatronics, possibly indicating that the child soul who possessed the Puppet liked Golden Freddy better than Spring-Bonnie during his time at the diner and decided to allow his favourite animatronic to live on as an actual dead child with him. Therefore it would explain why Golden Freddy often seems to have similar control over the animatronics as the Marionette does. And the reason we often see Golden Freddy as a hallucination in all of the games is because the fifth dead child's soul is left without a body to inhabit after the murders in the FNAF 2 pizzeria but is capable of projecting a mental image of itself to others and using that as a means to attack or interact with them. So to clarify, after the events of FNAF 2 the killer disposed of the Golden Freddy suit but the child soul itself was able to present itself as a mental image to individuals such as the night guards in all three games to attack them. What do you think?

THEROY: The mother was to busy on the phone to pay attention to her son, so he went to freddy fazbears pizza to watch them perform with 4 other kids. He loved the animatronics so much, that he even spent time with golden freddy (the murderer) while golden freddy lured the five kids into a room to get killed. The sons mother had no idea where her son went, then she finds him dead. She becomes really upset, but wants her son to live though, so she puts each of them into a suit. Bonnie, freddy, the girl goes in chica, and foxy. But when she gets to her son, there are no more costumes left. She gives the remaining kids a present of life so they can all live. To do with her son, she carried him down the hall to the puppets present where there is the last suit. The suit that he was murdered from. Golden freddy. With a heavy heart and tears pouring down her face, she stuffs her son into the suit and also gives him the present of life. All of the kids in the suits are like "What am i doing in a suit?" "What just happened?" The mother soon cant take the pain anymore. She goes mentaly insane then becomes the puppet who then lives inside the present. The music box is meant to keep her calm because she doesnt want anyone to get killed especially by her because she is too insane and when there is no music all of the bad memories of her child start coming back to her and she murders the only human in the room because she knows that the murderer is still alive. The reason golden freddy says its me is because golden freddy is her son saying "Its me mommy!! Look!! Im alive!! Im okay!! Dont cry. Im here!! Look!! Its me!!" But the mom crys so much, she has permanent tears on her face, the purple lines from her eyes.

What I was trying to say is that the puppet's child (the mother's child) is Golden Freddy.

ok my 2 cents what I think.
Golden Freddy's suit is actually missing most of the animatronics and are the marionette.You will probably then hint on the parts seen between the feet and the leg but I noticed that in all mini games the marionette always floats and doesn't walk.
The other point is that there 5 children missing but the 4 main characters, the marionette and golden Freddy makes 6.
So either theres one more murder we don't know about or the marionette and golden Freddy are the same.

There also ones was a notion in my mind that the children's brains where used to control the animatronics like a computer but that notion seems outdated by now :)

I can't believe I didn't see this before, but look again at the custcene (in FNAF2) where Golden Freddy appears in front of Freddy in the FNAF1 pizzeria. I bet that's Purple Man in the Golden Freddy spring suit luring Freddy and the other animatronics towards the safe room (as seen in the FNAF3 Purple Man minigames), but notice how in the cutscene that follows this, the Puppet appears before Freddy who is still onstage with the other characters. I think the Puppet must've been keeping the animatronics onstage, preventing them from following Purple Man into his trap, so Purple Man first needed to get rid of the Puppet before he could trick the other animatronics into following him. This is how the Puppet's soul is able to appear before Purple Man in the last Purple Guy minigame (in FNAF3), since the Purple Man must have had to take apart the Puppet before he could dismantle the others.

I think there are at minimum 6 children that were murdered. Marionette was the original one that was killed outside of the original dinner, seen in the mini game with Freddy giving cake to the 6 crying kids. Give Gift Give Life shows use 5 dead children. Four are given the 4 animatronic bodies and the 5th, in the last frame, is given Golden Freddy whom at this point in history, is not being used due to the Spring Suits having accidents. It could be theorized that the suit is in permanent Spring Lock meaning it is locked in suit mode. Limiting its mobility but still capable of movement thanks to the more supernatural aspects of the game.

Shadow Freddy is just a suit, most likely the same goes for Shadow Bonnie, as phone guy says the Spring Suits are Out of Order and they rushed to get replacements. This can easily be assumed they could not get the proper colors and got what they could get their hands on.

The real question I would love to know is how many children were killed in Freddy's to begin with. There are so many animatronics and all seem to be possessed. We know that 6 of them are children. But the toy versions, BB and Mangle... where do they fit in? Are they also possessed by souls or are they being manipulated by the Marionette while the other original 4 animatronics and Golden Freddy are working together.

So many people are taking the ending screens too far and I'm going to clear things up for everyone who's reading this.

In the bad ending screen, you see 5 heads, which are all the original animatronics. The heads are lit up. The most common theory is that the head that is in the dark is Golden Freddy. The head is FULLY in the dark so that you can barely make it out with only the light on. However, in the good ending screen, there are STILL 5 HEADS! This is why: since the Golden Freddy head in the bad ending is lit up (like all the other heads), and is in the background/dark, it is not illuminated to see it. So, since the 5th head is not lit, people are wondering why it's not there. It is there. Physics/logic people? Wow. This has been discussed on loads of channels with people that should be able to figure this out. (8-BitGaming, XxProClassGamerxX, Fusion Gamer, etc.) DON'T JUDGE FOR ME GIVING EXAMPLES I ALL LOVE THEIR VIDEOS!

This is what I think: Golden Freddy was present when the puppet kid was killed at Fredbear's diner, in other words, Golden Freddy was present when everything started. So, for at least FNAF 2 and 3, the marionette uses him as a puppet to do mind tricks on the player. In 1, the 5th child's soul takes over Golden Freddy and the marionette loses control of it. If you assume that the purple man's death was before 3, the child passed on and the marionette regained control. But the marionette, the golden Freddy suit, and the 5th child's soul are still connected, explaining why Golden Freddy doesn't show up in the good ending screen.

My theory is that Golden Freddy IS Fredbear and his counterparts being Spring Bonnie and the puppet. When the crying child was murdered, its soul possessed golden freddy. Purple man is the CEO of fazbear entertainment and when fredbears family diner closed up, fazbear entertainment bought the diner and the animatronics, including springtrap. When the five children were murdered, the fifth child possessed the puppet! (The Fifth child loved music and thats why the music box keeps her distracted) And spring trap and golden freddy were put in the back room. When golden freddy appears, he is playing a trick on you, but on night six, the reason he is so active is because he actually got out, thats why phone guy states, "someone took one of the suits, uhh it was a yellow one...someone used it“ . And in the minigames you need to cheer up the crying child so he will cooperate in killing the purple man and make sure he is actually DEAD, not living or haunting the springtrap suit. It one big paradox.

A little theory I'd like you to share: Springtrap has always been there, he has a button on his chest like there was a bowtie there. He's rusted, rough and ripped. This indicates that Springtrap is indeed very old, so he has been around here this whole time. Probably even before Golden Freddy, Golden Freddy looks newer. Maybe the people of Fazbear Entertainment hid Springtrap so NO ONE could guess that an incident happened again. What is this incident? The cupcake has ALSO been around for a long amount of time, golden maybe the signature color for Fazbear Entertainment until that one incident happened. One incident we didn't hear about, one that is hidden. But even if the good ending did happen, the spirits wouldn't be free. But not the kid's spirits, Purple Guy's spirit. He died in Springtrap, so he possesses Springtrap. He is not free, so now he is out for revenge. So maybe the Golden Cupcake has been there at the first Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, also known as Fredbear's. Fredbear's must include Golden Freddy and Springtrap. Why? Because in one of the minigames your in ONE ROOM on a stage playing as Golden Freddy, Springtrap has the same eyes in the minigame as in Fazbear Fright. We sure know that Fredbear's was one room total, same with the minigame. And what do we see on what seems to be Springtrap's chest? A black button, like I said in the beginning. He's been there for the entire time, and the teaser, "I am still here, " Is much more important than we thought. The teaser takes place after Fazbear Fright was burned down most likely, because when you brighten up the newspaper he is in the background. HE IS STILL THERE! The killer is still on the loose! The puppet might've not caused everything, but Golden Freddy. And since Golden Freddy and Springtrap have such a relationship/similarities. What's with Golden Freddy's scream? Golden Freddy's scream in his jumpscare might be whenever the killer died in Springtrap. However your probably hallucinating the scream, that's probably how they relate so much. It is not the end, we still have much more to discover cause the killer is still on the loose. | The killer is still there even if the good ending happened.

I just figured out something... -_- it's so obvious... At the start of the video look at golden freddys hat... It's the one from Scott's site. I personally think that golden Freddy was one of the suits that were salvaged from the burn out. Also in the picture meant it's golden freddy not springtrap.

FNAF 4 should be the story of Fredbear's Family Diner and should reveal the origins of the two animatronics who worked there, Springtrap and Golden Freddy. They should also have the Purple Guy be a disgruntled employee, and have the CEO of Fredbear's be the guy who talks to you on the phone.
