Given the uncertain economic conditions and heightened global tensions, I'm considering investing over $800k in stocks. However, I'm uncertain about how to minimise potential risks.

I lived in the former Soviet Union back in early 90’s and lived under price controls. There was seldom any goods on the shelf, but instead we had to give favors to store owners (like teaching their kids English and paying 5-10x) so to be able to get buy many items that was in a package. Fortunately, we were the “rich” foreigners that could pay more money and our team had teachers that could teach students. Btw - this was the same with buying airline tickets - you name the situation and it was probably impacted by centralized economy.

It's sad how difficult things have become in this recessive economy. I was wondering how to utilize some money I had. I used some of it for e-commerce business, but that sank. I'm thinking of how to protect my $380K-worth stock portfolio from decline, but haven't figured which way to go.

Small businesses that sell food will close and the companies with more money will stay open and then take prices up. Evil move

Given the persisting global economic crisis, it's essential for individuals to focus on diversifying their income streams independent of governmental reliance. This involves exploring options such as stocks, gold, silver, and digital currencies. Despite the adversity in the economy, now is an opportune moment to contemplate these investment avenues.

The U.S. economy can actually get better if only the govt can start making better decisions for the sake of it's citizens, cos' they've really made life more difficult for its residents. Hyperinflation has left the less haves bearing the brunt of the burden. Its already eating into my entire $620k retirement portfolio. Like where else can we invest our money with less risks?

When President Trump was in office I was able To save money and I can afford to buy groceries. Now my barely making ends meet under this administration... and I'm sure there's a lot of people that feel the same way..

Someone said that it's time to be concerned when you start to see individuals shoplifting groceries rather than big-screen televisions, and i agree.it's a sign that things are getting tough. Prices are going up fast, but the government isn't telling us the truth. If they did, interest rates would be super high. Even with the market doing poorly, some people are still making a lot of money - over $365, 000! I wish I could do that.

Also, the price gouging isn’t from the supermarkets. It’s the large companies like Tyson Farms who raised prices during COVID for no reason at all and those prices are still the same today.
