This summer (June 2023) I'm flying in a 2,086nm fundraiser for Hope Air, an organisation that helps lower income Canadians or those who live in remote areas access healthcare by providing flights (through private pilots and airlines) to larger urban centres.

I live on a small island in Denmark and our ferry is vital, in emergency we have a helicopter that can fly over to the nearest hospital. This helicopter and the firefighters are all run by volunteers. Denmark is small my island is even smaller but together we can make a big difference

Who’s cutting onions in here ?? 😭 Not to hijack a post….I don’t live in a northern area, but as someone who is terminally ill with CRPS….cost factors in rural areas going to medical appointments is huge. I know for example there is a treatment centre for my disease in Oklahoma that isn’t covered by OHIP, and as a single mom of four teens food is a luxury let alone going somewhere to get life saving treatment . Sadly gofundmes are the last resort for some of us….I haven’t done one because I know I won’t get donations which sadly is the situation for so many. This organization Glen is fundraising for is essential, and also see what you can do in your own city or country to help. You never know if that person could end up being you or someone you love❤❤
