Mat 8:1  When he came down from the mountain, great crowds followed him.
Mat 8:2  And behold, a leper came to him and knelt before him, saying, “Lord, if you will, you can make me clean.”
Mat 8:3  And Jesus stretched out his hand and touched him, saying, “I will; be clean.” And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.
Mat 8:4  And Jesus said to him, “See that you say nothing to anyone, but go, show yourself to the priest and offer the gift that Moses commanded, for a proof to them.”

There's another example that I absolutely love about this story & it's the fact that Jesus touched him. Nobody would ever go near a leper. Other side of the street stuff. But Jesus not only said He will, but He actually touched the man. How long had it been that he was able to have any personal touch from a human being? Nor would any dare. But Jesus did. That spoke m ore to me from this story. His love is immeasurable ~ He could have healed him without touching him. But He didn't. And also Jesus was throwing off the levitical laws about purification in order to demonstrate compassion, which is WHAT HE kept trying to teach us all about!!! It's important now more then ever to receive that compassion in our hearts. The world needs it ~

The urgency of allowing God to heal the sin in our lives.... That really spoke to me. Thank you. Also the confident prayer 🙏👐
