Most of the reasons why certain things are covered and blocked off is to reduce frame drops. The game runs fairly well on the wii with these little cuts and additions. The Wii wouldn’t be able to handle seeing the whole entire theater from above too well, same for in the spawn room where they added that wall. If they didn’t make these optimizations the game would run so bad at specific sections.

If this was current, the devs would not take time out of their miserable lives to optimize games for specific platforms. So looking back at this is pretty cool.

Can we talk about the AUG wall buy for a second. How good was that gun on Zombies with the shotgun underbarrel when PaPed. That would have been game changing on the console being there so you can just constantly buy ammo

I like how the wii version explosion sound is distorted and lower quality, sounds better IMO

You forgot the most important difference of all. The number of zombies per round is significantly higher on the Wii than the other platforms.

Round 35 was my highest on the Wii and that's probably equivalent to at least round 50-60 on other platforms.

I think this is why the aug was also on the wall considering how decent it was.

This map was originally supposed to be in call of duty world at war but they had to save it for call of duty black ops 1 so I wonder if the Wii version is actually the original design of the map that was going to be in call of duty world at war

Black Ops on the Wii was Treyarch's true test at working with Nintendo hardware. They were largely responsible for all of the Wii and Wii U ports of CoD games, and I think Black Ops was among the best because they managed to fit in so much

Does the window next to the Olympia still bleed in the Wii version? For some reason that window bleeds when you shoot it like it's a living thing and not a wooden door.

I remember back in 2012 when I didn’t have a 360 at the time. Black Ops Wii was all I had. I used to play the hell out of online matches before they shut off servers. It’s been about 10 years since I last played though, since I would get the 360 edition not long after.

I played this game so many times on the Wii and played the PC version. (One 35 minute video in my channel.)
What you will also notice is that some gun sounds are changed, and the weapon systems except for the AUG are buffed.
The reason why this Kino Der Toten was released first is because it was the first Beta design of the zombies map, and there's a 0.01% chance of getting the MP-40 from the box, so that's pretty cool. (It's 10x stronger than the one on the wall.)

0:10 can somewhat confirm that the main reason for that being there is due to the wii's RAM being limited on model space, im not even joking, it can be seen with the stage and outside alley as well.

From what I remember reading it was a different developer who did the wii version, treyarch most likely gave them files to work with but the new developers made the changes for whatever reason.
