Jokes and memes aside I really do hope Ed Sheeran is doing better now. Watching your wife get cancer, losing your best friend, and getting caught up in a bullshit copyright trial for a Marvin Gaye chord progression all in the span of 2 years must be devastating as hell.

I still think End Of Youth is one of his best songs. Losing 2 of his friends in one year and his wife getting a cancer diagnosis has to be mentally debilitating. This album really wasn't that bad and was far better than his last one in my opinion. His previous album was garbage, but i really dont mind this one.

i actually really like this album, even though i'm aware of it's shortcomings. i'm not a big pop fan and this gives me more of a folk vibe, which makes it a really neat "late night in front of my laptop" album.
"end of youth" is now my favorite ed sheeran track, it's really underrated and i hope it'll take off later.
