The easiest way to understand the present perfect:
I lived in France (the simple past, the action is finished)
I have lived in France (some point in the past, we don't know when or if the action is finished)
I have lived in France since 2010 or for 5 years (action continues)

The action continues if the present perfect contains since/for. Otherwise, it is an action in the past which may or may not continue in the present.

I absolutely love this video. You can't understand the present perfect continuous unless you understand that present perfect simple is finished actions in unfinished time / Past simple = finished actions in finished time. Too many text books ramble on about "actions which you started in the past and can repeat which still have an effect". Focusing on actions is so misleading. Anyway, thank you for the focus on time and for the valuable comedy.
