I've been learning English for 3 years now, and even though I consider my level quite solid, I've always been struggling with grammar. Thanks Arnel! This lesson SOLVED a query of mine which I HAVE HAD for quite a long time.
Thanks for the example- "Jane 🤷had lived in Canada for 22 years"
I realized we can use duration(22 years) with the PAST PERFECT.
Until now I was under the impression that to use DURATION(22 years) we must use the PAST PERFECT CONTINUOUS.
As in, "Jane had been living in Canada for 2 years."
" I HAD BEEN working there for 4 years."

"I HAD WORKED there for 4 years." ( PAST PERFECT can also be used to emphasize 4 years duration)
