A camera comparison against the iPhone 16 Pro Max and the Google Pixel 9 Pro XL.
Both phones are incredible and both take great looking photos. It's truly hard to pick the best out of the two. No matter which phone you buy, you are going to love it!

Apple: introducing new "Pro" grade microphones for pro level sound. Google: casually sounds much better.

I have both and they are my daily drivers, I really want Google to gain more market share because their phones have literally gotten much better

In 2024, phones are so good. Good comparison. I prefer Pixel photos and iPhone in videos overall but front facing camera in video goes to Pixel: we can't see the sky 😅

I think the Google Pixel 9 Pro XL pics are really better. Take a 30 x zoom and Pixel will win too!

The selfie camera and ultra-wide lens are far superior on the pixel

Dude there is no way you took these photos in North Hills is there? I lived at Park and Market for a few months and just got back home to Washington State a few weeks ago. I was trying to figure out why your photo with the checkers looked so familiar. I found out why REALLL quick😂. I also worked in the Advanced Auto parts tower that you took a photo of! Small world

plus if pixel uses camera mod and activates hdr+ enhanced, iphone has a harder time catching up, especially ultrawide and selfie. pixel just needs to fix portrait mode.

Hey Mark I need to pick your brain man if you dont mind. I got an S22 Ultra which must've been from a bad batch cause I've been having alot of connection issues most likely due to a faulty motherboard (never dropped it once) so I'm looking to upgrade. I don't care about ecosystems too much so S24 Ultra, OnePlus 12, Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Iphone 16 Pro Max are on the same playing field, but I'm mostly concerned about antenna and modem signal strength since my job has me in deadzones sometimes. If I don't have to worry about not having cell and mobile data that'd be awesome. Have you noticed any differences in that regard between those 3 phones where you can make a solid recommendation? I'd appreciate it brother

How well does the iPhone 16 Pro Max do in low light? I haven't seen any dedicated photo or video modes for the night. In the case of night photos and videos, does the iPhone make its settings automatically without a dedicated mode? I noticed that the Pixel 9 Pro XL has a night mode for both photos and video recording.

The iphone STILL have the worst ultra wide in its segment. I've seen photos of the iphone 16 ultra wide sensor at night and they look horrible. They look washed, without detail and kinda like Aquarelle. And if you look a photo from the ultra wide, even in the 13 pro max, it seems like nothing has changed.

Pixel 9 Pro XL can do 45 AI Tokens/Sec. iPhone 16 Pro Max can do 30 AI Tokens/Sec. Galaxy S24 Ultra can do 20 AI Tokens/Sec. I say Pixel Pro wins! Most camera improvements will come from AI as the hardware can't get tremendously better.

It's nice how great phone cameras are getting on every brand. I prefer pixels processing in photos but they are still so similar! Also I have been shooting a lot more video boost mode and the end result is better than anything on any other phone 👍🏼 also with the enhanced voice on the pixel, you can shoot 4k60 and edit audio in magic editor. I think that's the better option.
