[How to]Repair a Corrupted Flash Drive using CMD (Command Prompt)

In other words, this will DELETE all of your contents on your flash disk.

Instructions in short:
Go to "CMD"
1.diskpart
2.list disk
3.select disk x (x being the usb)
4.clean
5.create partition primary
6.active
7.select partition 1
8.format fs=fat32 quick

Remember:if you are using Windows XP, this method will not work because Windows XP only reads "Flash Drive" as a VOLUME and NOT a DISK like Windows 7 and Vista.
Try These Method:
open cmd and type "diskpart".Now type list volume and now you will see your flash drive.(Only for Windows XP{SP}).This is only the Proof that windows xp only reads flash drive as VOLUME.

When i do Clean it says : DiskPart has encounterd an error: The request could not be performed because of an I/O Error. See the system Event Log for more info.

This video has saved me two times now when my computer was only recognizing a 64gb flash drive as 1gb and would not format it. The second time was with a 2gb flash drive it was saying was 1gb. This was a result of a Dish Hopper reformatting it. Thank you very much. Confirmed this works but do remember you will lose what data you have on it.

 itype clean then hit enter but there's an error says, "DiskPart has encountered an error: The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error".

When I put clean.  It says Diskpart has encountered an error: The system cannot fin the file specified  See the systen event log for more information.
