A steel shaft 4 feet long that has a diameter of 6 inches.is subjected to a torque of 20 kip/ft.determine the maximum shear stress and the angle of twist.use G=13x10^6

Thank you this helped a lot, instructors I have felt with could learn a thing or two.

When you will talk about the Moment and Shear diagrams, it would be nice to use a different colour.
Red for a shear force with red lines, and blue for a moment with a rotating line around the beam in question.
That worked nicely when I lectured a friend who had trouble understanding Moment and Shear diagrams.

Are you going to upload all of mechanics of materials or just stress strain things?

I thought sigma was used or normal stress and tau for shear stress, while epsilon was used for strain. Are they the same here, or are you using different variables?
