A $100 million road and rail network overhaul has been announced for the Lefevre Peninsula in South Australia.

The state is preparing its ship-building precinct for constructing nuclear-powered submarines.

Several intersections and rail crossings will be upgraded to ease congestion.

The upgrade will begin late next year.
