My friend was the cop who drove him back to the jail. He said he almost had him convinced to let him go. He told me he was a master mind.

I laid eyes on him up in Northern New Jersey, the camp counselor was hissing at us, "Don't LOOK! DON'T LOOK"!! He was a very weird sight to see, riding on the top of some old sedan, wearing a white sheet sround his bottom like a diaper, and young girls flanked the car...in front, on the sides, and in the rear. One girl was driving very very slowly. We were girl scouts and had never seen such a peculiar sight. It was hard not to to gawk and stare. Camp counselor was totally freaked out, lol!! I think the camp was in Sparta, NJ. I was 14 or 15 years old at the time. I am 70 now, but I remember that weirdo like it was yesterday.

Pretty sure it's been well documented that Manson was part of the MK Ultra project. More people need to learn about how that worked and how many known "killers" were ultimately used as pawns as a result.
