I love Asian girls or laddies but I feel sad because they always think in money or benefits for them and they look that a relation it means two people . These programs need to stop referring to these women’s standards as high standards. They’re not high, they’re unrealistic and in many instances materialistic. Referring to them as high seems to mean that they are worthy of attaining but they’re unrealistic and at times appear delusional.

I've been working in China for the past 12 years and in a relationship with a Shanghainese woman for the past 3 years and I have to say that the extreme cultural and social pressure when it comes to dating is something that we in the West don't really have a clue about.
Dating among Chinese people is more like a business in which both families must be happy with what each party brings to the marriage. The happiness of the man and woman or if they even like each other doesn't really matter to Chinese society and parents.

In her late 20s my grilfriend gave up and started dating foreigners instead which actually feels like a romantic relationship to her in which she can be herself without all the pressure of her society and family. She also can still date somebody who wants to start a family with her in her late 20s and early 30s without the fear of being disrespected for her 'high' age.
Currently we're planning to move to my country which isn't that big of a problem. Because of her high education it's easy to find a well paid job for her and she already owns property in Shanghai.
