Fun fact: Windows 11 24H2 is still in Beta!!! If you enable the "Show the Desktop Version on Desktop" anywhere (Winaero or maybe Registry Editor), it says "Windows 11 (ver) *Insider Preview*". MICROSOFT THOUGHT THEY WERE ABLE TO HIDE IT!!

Note : Some Features in the Latest Version of 23H2 are already like in 24H2 such as a Profile Account on Start Menu, Compressing Zip Folder, Compressing Archive Folders, etc.

More things you didn't notice

- Start menu search box
+ 23H2: The search icon on search box uses the one from Windows 10 and doesn't animate when click on it
+ 24H2: The search icon on search box uses the new style from Windows 11 and animates when click on it


- Copilot in Windows
+ 23H2: Copilot in Windows (still in preview) opens a sidebar and you can ask Copilot to do Windows actions
+ 24H2: Copilot in Windows (no longer in preview) is now a seperated app and opens a web version instead, it comes with a new design and new font but you cannot ask Copilot to do Windows actions anymore

- Action center > Wifi/Network list
+ 23H2: Does not come with a refresh button
+ 24H2: Comes with a refresh button

- Task Manager > Settings page
+ 23H2: The settings page is solid gray
+ 24H2: The settings page come with Mica effect

- Lock screen/Sign-in screen > Wifi list
+ 23H2: The wifi list is solid gray
+ 24H2: The wifi list come with Mica effect

- Taskbar

Staying on 23H2 seems the best option. I get most of the new stuff anyways via Windows Updates. Like the new paint is there, duplicate tabs is there also.

Another change in 24H2 is that Bit Locker will be enabled by default when you do a fresh install

Tbh Microsoft should fix the inconsistencies in UI by porting system apps and menu to WinUI. Do welcome the changes though

24H2 26100.2033 has been randomly restarting one of my PC's. The CPU is constantly running in excess of 90 degrees which eventually caused an auto failsafe shutdown. With all motherboard settings set to their slowest possible settings the temperature keeps rising. This was never an issue when running Windows 10. What's more so annoying is I have an old HP Elitedesk 800 G1 SFF running Windows 11 23H2 22631.4317 & it hasn't faltered once.

Windows 11 is now more different than Windows 10, but 24H2 have a some issue, like the cumulative update which has released on 10 October, can’t be installed in many PC, no matter how the trick you used, it can’t be installed. The only way you can do is install the ISO or waiting for Microsoft to fix it.
