Free tip: money follows opportunity, Opportunity is found in problems, find more problems, find more opportunities, then trap the money that follows that opportunity. 🤓

Calculating the cost of items based on work hours cannot be overstated enough imo. Although it has tended to rule my life in recent years. And FUK CREDIT CARDS, never had, never will.

I lived and worked with lazzy people. My principle is that if I see a lazzy person, I go and do something positive. They are the reason I am into investment and have a great job.

My decision came from deep inside me. Never get married (period). No sick kids, no endless demands from a wife. I avoided all the senseless spending during the holidays. Almost everything is a racket anyway. My daddy told me that if I can't pay cash for something, I can't afford it (except maybe when buying real estate. But even then, try to pay down the loan as fast as possible. Avoid the quick cash title loans, and the rent-to-own scams.

10% compind Interest? Don't you mean - 1% with inflation factored in the fed is a debt system not a save system.

Good friend and I are in our 70s. She decided when she turned 70 that she deserved a brand new razz matazz car. Spent a bundle on it. I take the bus and am out of debt. She wants to sell her house, but a decent one bedroom apartment in her area of the east coast is $20, 000 a year. I'm paying $650 a month for a one bedroom "luxury apartment" in flyover country.
She's a good, generous, person, but her ideas about money sometimes scare me.
