I Learned French in France for 2 Weeks. 🇫🇷

For 2 weeks in my gap year, I attended the incredible ILA Language School and lived with a French host family in Montpellier for an immersive intensive language course! Despite a meaningless A* in GCSE French and a great streak on Duolingo, HA I can't speak French to save my life. I learnt almost as much in 2 weeks in France than I did in years of lessons haha! I can't recommend it enough. I had the best time 🌟 enjoy x

16:10 her host mum said that Jade has made her want to travel again and to learn English and that she hopes she will come back to Montpellier because she is a friend now

A student came to me the other day to tell me "hey ! I saw you on YouTube !" It was a nice surprise and I'm really grateful you enjoyed my class. Your group was great ! Best wishes Jade !

I loved the part where you whispered about the stars on your ceiling and how you were trying to see the grand scheme of things and how you realised you should just enjoy life and see the good in things, I found it very inspiring and I think it’s something most of us have to remind ourselves once in a while 💕

Do you ever make friends with people when travelling who aren't the most amazing, who you don't suddenly click with, or trust, or have the best times with? I guess it's just hard to talk about that on camera? But sometimes, as much as you try to accept and cherish all the amazing people around you find yourself with someone who is a bit.. dodgy? how do you choose which to befriend, have you ever had to stop hanging with someone?

The random protest you encountered was a "Gilets Jaunes" protest, they happen every saturday in big French cities since last october! People protest mainly because they are unhappy with the president and the political system... Sometimes there are some "casseurs" (breakers) who are a bit violent but most of the time these protests are peaceful :)
