NEVER push your trash can with the lid open like that! Last year, a good friend did that, stepped on the lid and fell face first into the edge of the container. Aside from the pain and blood, they could not save her two front teeth after 6 months of trying. Her mandible was damaged to the point that she can't get implants. She will have to have a partial or bridge instead.

when a dog is scooting along the floor like that it means they're very uncomfortable. Dogs have anal glands that have unique identifying smells (which is why dogs smell each others butts and any poop they find) and those glands can become clogged. If you have a dog scooting along the floor like that take them to the vet and see if the anal glands are infected or swollen shut. These infections are not usually lethal for the dog but they can be recurring if not treated and are *extremely* painful.

Edit: A few people have pointed out worms can also cause this and I kinda forgot to mention that (oops). If a dog is getting occasional de-worming or worm protection along with its flea and tick treatment this likely isn't the case but its worth pointing out that it is a potential cause. Worms have other symptoms too to look out for also so if its clearly worms get treatment ASAP.
