Understanding Your Asthma Part 5: Prednisone

Asthma is a common chronic disease that affects breathing. Asthmatic patients can experience difficulty breathing sometimes due to exposure to certain triggers that cause their airways to narrow. Although there is no known cure for asthma, there are many different types of medication for controlling it. This video series will introduce you to what asthma is and the treatment methods available.

The local ER dept. filled me full of prednisone pills to treat my severe COPD/asthma and sent me home in a taxi with little information. I woke from a nightmarish sleep covered in blood from the face down, my nose burst every vein possible from the increased blood pressure ( 235/180).Phoned the hospital ER and was told there was NO antidote for prednisone and to "wait it out". After 3 days of "waiting it out" (no prednisone at all) my blood pressure finally went down to my normal range of 130/80.Prednisone could have easily killed me, it's a final desperate attempt to control severe asthma/COPD.Don't sing it's praises until you are fairly certain you will survive it.

Usually severe astma that doesn't respond well to ashtma treatment isn't either caused by astma at all and is caued by cronic and severe acid reflux / respitory reflux.

Prednisone causes weight gain and it's driving my mum nuts because she isn't comfortable would have used seretide instead but cant afford it

I always take Prednisone whenever I have a gout attack. I was prescribed 5 tablets but even after one, I'm feeling the pain go away. That's how potent this stuff is. Prednisone is my Jesus Christ and almighty savior. All praise be the God named Prednisone!

We did treatment for dog asthma with prednisone and almost lost her, coz this pills gave a problems to pancreas 😣 Vet didn’t suggest any puffer at the beginning…. So sorry for my dog she was suffering for almost 6 months

To cure asthma naturally with acupressure:
1) Press lip with a finger and note how inhaling through your nose is facilitated
2) Make a habit of breathing in with lip pressure to stop asthma.
A Google search for asthma pressure points shows points on lips.
Asthma causes airway remodeling but this is cured in time by correct breathing. That is my experience. Medical treatment is unscientific because of the asthma paradox meaning that more drug treatment means more asthma and turning a blind eye to acupressure.

Prednisone ONLY for serious acute episodes, it's a very dangerous medication.
Ask for Seretide instead.

K.P. Buteyko once said that:
To test the validity of the scientific discovery made by us almost 30 years ago, it takes 30 seconds of time: offer an asthmatic hyperventilation - he will have a suffocation attack, offer to reduce breathing - will relieve the attack. The cause of the asthma attack is hyperventilation of the lungs, no one said this before our scientific research. And so I have been asking scientists for 30 years to spend 30 seconds to check this (1986).
