Good walk-through! I was forgetting to set the aux to "insert".

You mentioned there was one step that seemed to work either way, and you weren't sure what it was doing. It seems that step was the Pre/Post selection.
Your Pre & Post selection will not determine whether the insert functions, it will determine where in the process it goes through your external unit. Pre goes through your insert before your internal EQ and Compressor(Dyn). Post goes through the insert after the internal EQ and Comp. This is displayed graphically above the Pre/Post selector.

if you need to hear while in POST insert mode, you have to go to settings and check SOLO AFL .

How are you running a multi-track mix into the console? I am learning the M32, and wish to learn it, and it would be ideal to do this, as you are. Also, where do you get the multi-track recordings?

How do you insert the DEQ2496 to X32 Main LR? Do you follow the same steps or are there additional steps to consider? Thank you

How can you set it up so you can use digital inserts to combine with something like mainstage or another DSP software. This is easy to do with the SI impact

I have my x32 set up exactly like you have. I’m having problems printing the wet signal from my external Aux effect into my DAW. Can you explain the process please. I know I’m missing a small step

How would you route an external mic pre for recording into the M32?

I do not follow the last part of this video where you describe how to use an outboard reverb unit. I followed along and did the insert perfectly with you. Then, I realized my effects unit needs to be run the same as an outboard reverb, and I do not follow what you are describing at the end. Are you able to clarify? Thank you so much!
