M32 Quick Tip - DL32 FOH/Monitor Split

In this video we show you how easy it is to use the AES50 "B" port on the DL32 to split your inputs to a second M32 console. This is a great solution for adding a second M32 console to your rig for mixing monitors or broadcast.

Hi Midas please make us another video that will explain us about outputs and gain control in this split configuration so we will be able to understand how make the setup process thanks

The outputs are not controlled by the main console, ONLY the GAIN, i have 2 Midas and a DL32 stagebox if you want separate control of GAINS, use an analog splitter snake

Alright guys, this is what I need to do but I can't find answers as to whether or not it's possible: We have M32R at FOH currently and DL32 backstage. Love the setup, but want to add M32C to be used as the monitor console. What I want, is to free up all 16 mixbusses on my FOH console, and instead use the processing/mixbusses on the M32C for monitors, but I need all my monitor mixes to come out of the DL32. If I do that, where do I output my LR buss from to go to the PA? Do I need to pickup a second DL32???

Tried this in Cincinnati this weekend. But, I was trying to run my m32c/ dl32 as a IEM rack, and send to FOH(m32r).
M32c to dl32 was on Aes50 A and ran Aes50 B to foh console. We set internal clock on foh to Aes50 B. No signal.

In this setup, is there a way for Gain to have the stage console??

Our church has M32 and DL32 as well, and we want to setup in ear monitors for the musicians and vocalist. Can we get away without an additional on stage monitor?

I did more simple....I use M32 in stage as monitor mix and another M32 for FoH mix. All input are going to M32 in stage and all output for PA and monitor coming from it. I use 2 Main out to go to PA line array and 1 out more for PA subwoofer....7 out for monitor wegde and 6 out for IEM. In this case I use sharing mic pre....monitor mix will control all mic pre gain....and the FoH mix still has digital gain control....

Can you show how to split outputs. Like 1-4 for FOH and 5-16 for Monitors... thanks

Is there a way to do this WITHOUT the DL32? I noticed nobody answers any of the questions below, so I will probably not get a response, but it would be nice to know. Thank you.

Did this exact setup last night (M32, DL32, X32) with x32 @ monitor world. Was fine all day long and thru the first set at intermission X32 lost connection to DL32...could not get it to come back (shut of Console, restarted) unitl I plugge into "B" port on X32 and changed inputs all to AES50-Bs..then it stated working this some kinda firmware mismatch glitch??

The whole reason I like a separate monitor board is separate gain staging for monitors verses FOH. If they share the same pre amp and gain stage I do not see the point.

Configuration

Hello I bought an x32 rack I have in configuration an X32 Compact for the facade with a Box DL32 Midas internship, with WiFi Router, .My question I was told that we could have a different EQ between the facade and the returns I speak of EQ EQ and not of the eq master on returns. If you have configuration I am interested, the connection everything works with the sound, but nothing works in EQ on each edge on the returns.Routing connection I start from the AES50-A of the compact to the X32 rack in B and then a rack to the A DL32 Midas

Small details the inputs and outputs are coughing connected to the DL32 Midas

I have a set of Behringer S32 Stage Box in my hand, suddenly there is no response from 1-8, and 9-32 are all normal, do you know the problem?

Hi, I am connecting Monitor and FOH to two x32 console as per your video, the only different is I have 2xS16 rather than 1xs32. The main console I connect it to port A of the first S16, port B of the first S16 then connected to port A of the second S16, then port B of the second S16 is then connect to port A of my monitor console. All my console light lit up green, however I am not getting signal into my monitor console. My main console have signal. Can you see what is wrong with my connections. Thanks

Can you guys do something crazy with this? I'd love it if when I did this that whatever I name the inputs on my FOH Mixer that they'll automatically match what is on the Monitor mixer. If that's doable. Say so! If not. Make it happen! It would make things just that little bit easier.

I have a question. If I have an IEM rack that contains a Midas M32C and a DL32, can I set it up to use the AES50 B to split to FOH instead of having an in rack splitter? I'm trying to build a fly rack and keep it as small as possible

Would be helpful if you explained the cable and connector type as well

Hi ! If i link a Dl16 with a DL32, Does this method still work or would I only receive inputs from the dl16 ?

So in essence the consoles are mirrored correct? with the exception that the gains and outputs are controled by the console clock set to 'internal".. both consoles should be able to make changes to any of the busses, eq's etc.
