Tua Tagovailoa has become quite the controversial player in recent years. After just getting paid an insane amount of money we discuss whether Miami will regret paying him. As well as why I believe he may be one of the more underrated QBs in the NFL today.

Tua has played in 1 playoff game! Why do you think he went to multiple? Ppl just hate. Tua’s a good kid, great character, family man and a Christian. I root for these types of players.

One thing I don’t think was mentioned is how complicated mikes offense is, yet tua understands it inside and out. Tua has the iq that you NEED from a qb to go far, the issue is Miamis backups don’t have that iq which is why we’ve seen receivers run the wrong route at times or why some players rarely saw the field like claypool

The “can’t play in cold weather” part is pretty over blown imo.

In the last 2 years the Dolphins have only played 1 game in very cold weather and 2 games in decently cold weather. The first game was Week 15 of the 2022 season when they played in Buffalo and it was 30 degrees. The score at the end of that game was 32-29. Tua played in this game. The next coldest game the Dolphins played in was the 2022 playoffs against the Buffalo Bills again, it was 28 degrees and the score at the end of that game was 31-34. Tua didn’t even play in that game also.

The Chiefs game this past season wasn’t just “cold weather”. It was literally the 4th coldest NFL game ever in over a 100 years of history. People got frostbite at that game and underwent amputation. I won’t deny that we got our ass kicked that game, but people really need to call it for what it was. There’s a reason that nearly half of the Chiefs points that game had to come from Field Goals.

Throughout his first 2 years, FLO was sabotaging his success and kept putting him in an unfair situations. Look at what he’s done soon as McD became the coach and got the support all QBs needed! Top 5 QB the past 2 years in all categories.

Tua’s first game…. How did that offensive line block? Tua deserved no criticism for that. Chris Griers inability to draft or sign premier offensive line talent.

I have no respect for actual Tua haters because all they do is move the goal post. They live in the "Yeah But" dimension. Tua made trash WRs and coaches famous until he finally got legitimate help in both areas.

Tua was held back by Brian Flores. We could see Tua absolutely blow up the NFL if his team can keep his body intact.

People forget, or don't care, that the Dolphins have been one of the most dysfunctional teams in the league for years. Tua saw plenty of it. It might still be. I was disappointed last year with Tua and McDaniel. Tua gained weight through the season. McDaniel talked about not going away from the run game but then repeated his mistakes.
If Tua can continue his growth and command the offense against better defences, and McDaniel can prepare and call a balanced game, maybe we do well this year. Although Grier's roster building is still heavily flawed.

My gut is that until Grer is gone, and maybe Ross, the Dolphins won't see success. But who knows... here's hoping for a great year this year.

Tua is the best qb we could of got. He's made the Dolphins fun to watch again. We just need for players to stay healthy and the o line at least decent. 1st time hearing you, enjoyed it very much. I subscribed

Tua is good but what I really like is his off season workouts.

I am and have always been an extreme Tua supportor. As a Polynesian from Hawaii, I barely followed Tua in high school at St. Louis, but saw him in the Elite 11, loved him at Bama, and bought his jersey once he was drafted. We pray for him at home regularly.

However, Tua still has a lot to prove. Glad he got his $, but he still needs to do more to earn it. Hopefully, his faith and talent will shine this year. I'm looking forward to cheering him on again this year. 🤙🏾🙏🏽

16 TD's with 10 INT's isnt bad? It aint franchise either. Its average at best and thats what Tua is. Last season he had 14 INT's and 13 Fumbles. Thats terrible!

not sure if hes top 5 but you cant say that he hasnt won a playoff game because his team been good for like 2 years recently with being killed by injuries and bad conditions. people only call the dolphins stacked when mentioning how they havent won anything recently. even if hes a system qb, he'll succeed in his position. I think people just dont like that he has good weapons that do a lot.
