Tedy Bruschi brings up a great point “can you live with this?”. I could never live with exchanging a few more years of football for a lifetime of being healthy with my family. Tua already has more than enough money for his family already, enjoy it with them bro

Raiders fan from the UK here. I’ve seen so many concussions in rugby and also seen how the players suffer later that the only thing I can say is give it up Tua. Think of your family man

Guys Tua has too say I have no plans on retiring if he says I am going too retire he'll get 23 mil now if he plans on playing and a doctor says you shouldn't continue blah blah blah he get 126 mil

Can’t help someone that doesn’t want to be helped. Consequences will be had. It’s Russian roulette at this point.

He didn’t just get 3 concussions, he was twitching on the field! He’s definitely going to regret not retiring. I’m sure he loves the game too much but he needs to think about his 40’s, 50’s mental stability

People, stop saying that Tua should be wearing a "guardian cap". It would not have prevented the compression of his spine or the forward momentum of his brain. The guardian cap was only introduced by the NFL to fight against future lawsuits by players. The NFLs argument in lawsuits will be that protective equipment was available but you chose not to wear it.

At this point Tua knows he has scrambled eggs coming to his future, I have no pitty for him the longer he stays in.

Tua hasn't taken the Dolphins anywhere, and he isn't so scary good that we should all be begging for his return. They NEVER should've pulled the trigger on a big contract. Cut him loose. Even if he wants to come back, relegate him to 3rd string and let him decide from there to retire.

This was an excellent discussion of a difficult situation. As a physician, I totally get the risk he runs if he continues to play. And I get why people including former NFL players are advising him to retire. But I also freely admit that I have no understanding of the mindset of a truly elite athlete at the top of his game. He’s one of the 0.001 percent of people who can play quarterback at an elite level in the league. Every major decision we make in life is a calculation of risk vs benefit. Others may have their own strong opinions, but at the end of the day it’s his decision to make. I hope he gets the best information available so his decision is informed. But it’s his decision. I’m not a Dolphins fan but I enjoy football and would respect his decision even if medically I thought it was risky.

It makes absolutely no sense to me why Tua went head first on that play last week especially with his history!?! He had the first down easily and had more than enough time to slide. Completely dumbfounded.

5 years down the road he wins a superbowl, he’s the best Miami has had for five years. Year 6 he’s a 40 year old vegetable in a wheelchair . Or be financially independent enjoying life with your family while you’re still able to

It was pretty obvious he definitely wasn’t retiring, it’d be extremely shocking if he did retire

When football becomes an IDOL, it now becomes a spiritual and moral problem. His family, as well as his own future health, is far more important than ANY NFL game. I feel really bad for the guy, BUT, in my opinion, he should get down. Oh, and Tom Brady lost the most critical ring of his life, his marriage ring, pursuing yet another Superbowl ring. That wasn't a good choice on his part.

That first concussion in 2022 they straight up lied about. It wasn’t his back. I got no respect for liars.

As much as have loved the Miami Dolphins since 1984, Tua being a good fit for Mike McDaniel's system, I don't know if Tua is making the right decision here. There were a lot of QBs that I remember that retired because of head trauma:

Jim McMahon
Stan Humphries
Matt Schaub
Chris Chandler

And those are the ones that I can remember, I'm pretty sure there's a lot more. I pray for Tua's safety. Management of the Dolphins should draft another QB just in case.

Turns out youtubers and the media cant shame a guy into retirement. Shocking i know

Are we just ignoring Mike McDaniel's need for rehab? The man is clearly on something.

Brain damage often manifests years after it happens. Meaning even if he retired today there could be significant consequences, each shot he takes realistically could take a decade off of his life.

Why still say that Matt Milano put a huge hit on Tua…
Tua was stepping backwards and Matt barely made contact with him.
