You did a great job filming and editing your first video.
Getting your bag lighter is like an addiction, lol. Love the lazy man's fire, and, yes, a little wine is mandatory.

great to find another hammock fan in england. i am a big fan of sintax77, he inspired me to use hammocks and tarps, i need to get out and film another trip, there are not many good places to go here, so i need to get out and find somewhere, i fancy hammock camping on a hill on the way to matlock in derbyshire .

Nice video Gordon. I too am trying to loose weight, I have DD 3x3, Frontline hammock and DD underquilt and I used Snugpack's Jungle blanket on my last excursion which was perfect for me. My pack-weight was 20.6Kg with just a little food, cook-set and 3Ltrs of water. I was quite envious when you said your pack-weight lol . Nice location, I love the lakes such a beautiful peaceful place. All the best on your next one and take care.

Big thanks and shout out to sintax77 Dean Read and the one and only JoeRobinetBushcraft . Not my best video but my first and they'll keep on improving. It's tough doing the video while you're out guys isn't it!

We seem to watch the same channels on YouTube so thought I'd give your channel a go. Good job on getting started filming. I'm sure I'll get around to it some day as well. Very jealous of the Hammock Gear goodies. The 0degree incubator is next on my list...and hopefully my wife doesn't kill me. I also got badly stung importing stuff from Warbonnet in the States last time. I'm glad I got the kit but the cost of importing is a stinger. Fortunately all my dutchware orders have made it through with no additional charges. I thoroughly recommend some of his goodies for your tarp. Subscribed and all the best from one Gordon to another.

I hope you keep your enthusiasm to make more videos. I think the few videos you have are really good.

Cool little charger. I've been thinking of getting one. I keep my phone on airplane mode so the batteries last quite a while, but it would be nice to have a boost.

Nice one, enjoyed watching, great for first video. 28lbs lol. I'm still packing 40-50lbs mind you thats with glass bottles of whiskey and 3 litres of water. It is heavy but I'm happy to carry the weight as I like my comforts. Looking forward to more of the same from ur channel, keep up the good work atb Si

dunno if you do now, but its worth putting your stove/burner in a little bag, stop any smells inside your pot..

Did you say the underquilt was good to 0 degrees Fahrenheit? That's pretty impressive! Would quite nearly hold up to a Calgary winter.

Have you used that system for attach tarp to tree huggers in the wet? I have a feeling it would wick the water down to your hammock. Has the tarp been rain tested yet?

Hi, what was the total weight of your pack and food together?

I wonder was it really necessary to cut the tree down even though it was dead standing. Sawn off stumps look just as unsightly and it looked like there wasn't a shortage of wood where you were. A shot of how you left your campsite would have been reassuring as well, nothing worse than burnt fire rings left by inconsiderate campers. I'm sorry if I sound negative, I did enjoy your video(I've never made one), please treat this as constructive criticism. Remember idiots watch you tube as well and they don't need encouraging when it comes to leaving a mess, for this reason I wouldn't disclose my exact location either.
