First, beautiful work!! Bravo. The acrylic looks painted while the oil looks realistic. I haven’t dabbled much in oil yet. I’ve mostly been painting with water color and acrylic. I just bought some oils and I’m excited to paint a new portrait.

I prefer the process of painting with oils as well as the final result looks much better, however the clean up is such a chore! Water soluble paints are so much easier to clean. I tend to dislike acrylics, especially with how fast they dry, so I have gravitated to gouache and watercolor.

They are both beautiful, but the oil paint has this super satisfying, silky smooth appearance to it that makes me wanna have a go even tho ik it would not even compare.

Now, personally, I prefer oils, but girl, you were not entirely fair to those acrylics. I know you can make that highlight shade with both paints. Oils will show their superiority with or without help

I feel like oil paints looked more realistic and smooth the acrylic ones i think are more to be used for background and the Main part with oil paints but still I'm not experienced 😅 You still made both amazing keep up the awesome work 👏❤
