you talk about how using warm clothing or log suits are wastes of equipment slots, but you do realise you can just right click on items and instantly equip them. You can wear a backpack, and then switch to a log suit when an enemy appears and then pick up the pack again when it’s dead.

Also farms are meant to be supplementary, not a primary food source. (Pierogis are great tho)

The more I play, the more mods I end up using lol. Stuff like extra equip slots just makes the game relaxed and fun imo, but I suppose for a new player learning to play, makes sense to play vanilla.

Overall, people should just do what they want

k but if by "not messing with world settings" you're saying that i must play with diseases on, that ain't happening my guy. The entire mechanic is just annoying and dealing with it doesn't make the game more rewarding in any way. Also, geometric placement makes setting up an organized base much more pleasent and it should probably be built into the game. Nobody would think "wow, how i wish i hadn't this tool that allows me to put up a bush witout having a stroke"

20 Mistakes "Noobs" make when they try to play as Edgy Rick. Some of they are not mistakes actually, just when you play Wolfgang you will play comfortable, if avoid they. In DST you can play way more character. Wickerbottom can get much food with farms and her book. Wurt cant eat meat, so she really need a farm to eat dragonfruit and other veggies, because berries and caps dont restore much food. Also sanity shouldnt be low in early game, because killing nightmares are spending time, when players actually dont need nightmre fuel (they havent shadow manipulator). P. S. Beefalo hat is awesome, if you wearing helmet instead of it, you just cant kite.

Tip 1: “don’t build a baseimmediately” okay, this is something people learn on their like third playthrough
Tip 2: “use armour” okay, this is something people learn as soon as they realise how good armour is
Tip 3: “fight shadow creatures” was recommended to people who cannot and should not be physically able to 1v1 a beefalo
Tip 4: “instead of using combat info and enemy health bars, die multiple time by overestimating the enemy, in a game with no respawn, absolutely zero ways to tell the enemy capabilities and all mobs fighting to death, not changing behaviour regardless of being on 1% or 100% health”
(please tell me about boss phases, something that a noob will even reach at all, not mentioning beat down severely enough for the boss to change phase)
Tip 5: “don’t reasonably estimate your fighting skills-they’re negative, you can’t kite, the best you can do is stunlock-go on and fight monsters without knowing their hp and damage nor your damage”
Tip 6: “go for the ruins, which the noobs won’t even manage to reach”
Tip 7: “kill Deerclops” now that’s just laughable. We’re talking about people who can’t even survive till winter or die in it’s first days, and you’re telling them to kill a boss.
“Kite him to a swamp”
Assuming the noob can kite him and survive the swamp long enough for the deerclops to die by tentacles or merms or spiders.
As a lot of people pointed out: this is not a noob guide, a noob will die trying to follow it, this is a speedrunning guide for people who don’t need guides with exception of updates
