$6,000?! What about a Mac Pro for the rest of us? Snazzy Labs looks at the NZXT H1 SFF PC case.
Get them for $79.99 (Apply the coupon on Amazon page and then this at checkout): KINJA649

Snazzy Labs makes a case for a smaller, modular Mac; a Mac Pro mini. The Mac Pro is great and all, but its $6,000 starting price point and "one-size-fits-all-pros" approach means its financially out of reach for many of us mere mortals. But rather than turn to hackintosh land, why couldn't Apple just make a smaller ATX or mini-ITX sized Mac Pro mini—one with the same upgradable RAM, CPU, GPU, and more for less money and in a smaller case? Snazzy Labs takes a look at the new NZXT H1 mini-ITX SFF case. With a built-in AIO, SFF PSU, and PCIe riser card for the GPU, this case is ready to rumble from the factory. Just insert your mini ITX motherboard, attach the cooler, plug-in the pre-wired cables and insert your GPU. That's it. You're done. The whole build takes less than 10 minutes. Pretty freaking awesome for what are historically nightmarish cases to build in.

ATTN: Have more than a couple comments that believe NZXT sponsored or paid for this video. They did not. I received $0. We were excited about this case but wanted to pivot it away from a traditional review into something different. In so doing we might have lost perspective. I apologize and we’ll do better in the future.

Finally someone who doesn’t talk like video editing is the only “pro” workload existing at this world

I watched about half a dozen NZXT H1 reviews today, but I have to admit you baited me here perfectly with the Mac Pro Mini theme... I never saw the H1 coming on this one! 😂

For a second I really thought that you were gonna make another hackintosh video...

i literally just came from MKBHD's Video where he talked about how he wished there was a cheaper mac tower for more consumers.

I saw "Mac Pro Mini" in the title and instantly fell in love this idea. Apple must consider this very "seriously". Perfect idea.

I've been saying for years that Apple needs something between an iMac and Mac Pro. Something that you can run multiple screens with up gradable components.

They should honestly just enlarge the Mac Mini, add support for dedicated graphics cards, and call it a day. I don't think they need to reinvent the wheel - if not for the lack of a GPU, the Mac Mini would fit the bill perfectly for a machine in this category. And it's not like many people care about the size of a desktop computer in the first place.

I’m glad you mentioned AutoCAD. I never remember anyone else ever mentioning it. I guess Tech Jesus Steve did once.

Like many, I don't hate this machine, I'm very happy they made it. But I do wish they made a Threadripper 3000 model under it, for those of us who can live without a few workstation motherboard features like ECC (afaik, Threadripper supports using it, but disables the parity bit), in exchange for much more multithreaded performance and WAY more per dollar.

2 years later and that has come true with the Mac studio

An mATX class Mac would be amazing for some of my workloads. Particularly when I need to combine a powerful GPU and a bunch of SDI connections. Thunderbolt bandwidth gets tight pretty quickly when stitching together several projectors.

I'd be interested to see how the NZXT H1 could be turned into a Hackintosh. Especially as it "seems" like there isn't a lot of work involved.

MFW I regularly utilize all PCIe lanes I can get on Threadripper 3000 and beyond for video capture/editing purposes... Apple just doesn't make/support the things I need/use it for.

Half this video is just a big ad for some headsets and NZXT...
