On December 7, 2017, we fired for the first time our 3D printed development rocket engine. (LOX/Kero, 500 lbf thrust, Inconel 718, pressure fed, regenerative cooling, GOX/Kero augmented spark igniter). During the 5-second test run, we had a successful ignition despite a hard start. A problem with our main LOX valve leaking under pressure was observed. During the stable part of the run, we had a stable 320 psi of chamber pressure (design goal is 350psi). We reduced the design OF ratio for the first run. Our team will be analyzing the data, resolving test stand issues and preparing for more tests in early 2018.

This is the first ever rocket engine hot fire for our company.

Would you classify this as a fuel rich burn? Just based on the visual characteristics of exhaust

Looks like a lot of nozzle erosion. Have you resolved this yet?
