Spain was lucky to have their best players in the same era, literally every position was stacked with elite players

Best midfield in the world for these years: Spain.
Second best midfield in the world for these years: The guys on Spain's bench.

Here in the UK, I remember when Spain were constantly labelled as 'underachievers.' And I mean CONSTANTLY. They shut everybody up, and they did it in style. We were privileged to witness such a great team.

Did he really just use FUT cards to help us gauge the skill level of those players? What a legend

spain's 2008-2012 team in a nutshell:
all of the best players in the world (behind CR7 Messi) combined

The most amazing thing is that the quality there was within Spain in such a short span of time was so high that many World Class players had to be out of the Spanish Team because the quality was just too high. If that peak of quality was more scattered in time they could've won 3 WC in a row easily.

Now imagine if Messi had accepted Spain’s offer to play for them

As a German fan I have to say, it so totally sucked to watch games against Spain in that era, specially the 2008 and 2010 tournaments. You NEVER had a doubt in every single game, that if Spain played their regular level they were unbeatable. And I am talking about their regular level, not top level. The ball control was insane.
I have seen a lot of "historic" or "unbeatable" teams, like Milan under Sacchi, Ajax 94-96, Barca with Ronaldinho, Real Triple Champs, Brazil in the 90ties, France late 90ties and even Germany sometimes. But this Spanish squad was unique.

VILLA WAS LEGENDARY CLUTCH SCORER, HE WAS THE FIRST SPANISH PLAYER THAT COULD CREATE HIS OWN SHOTS AND GOALS ON A REGULAR BASIS. LEGEND!!!

In basic words,
If you hated this team so much when they were in their prime, it’s simply because they were just that viciously good

Iniesta is underrated?!? Even in a cricket dominated country like us, he's regarded as one of the best mid fielders of all time!

Spain's bench was a top level team.

They didn’t just win in the World Cup. They showed us how a beautiful football game is supposed to be played. Impeccable. Imaginative. Relaxed but undefendable

Fun fact: Spain is the first and only team that has won the World Cup after losing the first match of the tourney

Problem with the meta is Xavi and Iniesta can play in the same team. That should be nerfed.

As a Spaniard I really love what you made, dude. I'm so glad and proud of this video and all the positive comments. Thank you all! We played great at this Eurocup with new young players with bright future... we'll come back!

The Spanish national team was and still is a lesson for all football clubs and national teams, that it doesn't matter how many star players you have or the club they play for if don't have the passion and the unity to fight for your club or country you will never win anything and that's what made this team one of the most dominant national teams of all time.
